Lava crowns and bridges are restorations that are fracture-resistant and considered inert with respect to biocompatibility, providing one of the most durable all-ceramic restorations available today.

Lava Crowns are made from zirconium oxide (zirconia). Ziirconia is a ceramic material similar to the natural enamel of your teeth. Once the zirconia has been made into a restoration it has a completely natural appearance and can hardly be distinguished from natural teeth.

How does it work?

Lava crowns allow the light to shine through restorations just like your natural teeth. The zirconia framework is coloured to match the individual colour of your teeth before fine layers of veneer ceramic are applied to it. In this way, the colour and translucency of your own teeth are imitated to the very core.

Can I chew normally?

Lava crowns are extremely strong and durable. They can be used for teeth at both the front and back of the mouth. They can also withstand the high levels of stress exerted when you chew or bite.
