Implants

Dental Implants are a means by which missing teeth can be replaced permanently without involving the teeth already present in the mouth. They may also be used for denture wearing patients to give the denture support and stop any movement of the plates.

It is a complex procedure and a very in-depth examination of the patient is first carried out to access the suitability of each case, often involving scans.

The procedure is broken into two steps:

• Surgical where the implants are placed in the bone and allowed to integrate with the bone.
• Restorative where the teeth are then placed on the implant or denture attached.
